What Colour is your Business?

We often think about the rainbow when we think of colour. But how can we incorporate colour in to our business? When going for an interview we want to look professional therefore we use safe colours in a business suit like black and grey which are somber and lifeless. But is this the perception we would like customers to have of our business? A business is a personality, it is made up of people. So we would prefer words such as innovative, vibrant, and dynamic. Words we often associate with positive colours such as red and orange. When we represent our business in front of customers we need to project that colour in to how we present our business to risk our business becoming dull and dying.

If we had to pick a colour to describe our personality, what would you choose? Red stimulates energy and power. If you wear lots of red, you might then describe yourself as energetic! Orange stimulates emotions, yellow stimulates the mind, green is perfect for relaxation and Blue calms the mind and body. Purple can be used to balance the Psyche!. So it follows we can use colours as a business tool for our business as well as ourselves.
